Its main function is to protect your lens from dust, scrapes, and scratches. Remember, its better to throw out a little filter than your camcorder. Also included is a Circular Polarizing Filter. The Circular Polarizing Filter has the same effect as putting sunglasses on your camcorder. It makes colors darker and richer, and also cuts down the haze of the sun, as well as its reflection off of glass, water and chrome. Simply rotate the filter while its on your camcorder and watch the distortion disappear. This filter is mainly for use on bright sunny days, especially at the beach.
Never get caught offguard by your Low Battery indicator. Keep a spare battery with you at all times so that if one fails, just pop in your spare and keep filming.
